Retro gaming: CRT vs OLED

I recently set up my old SNES on a modern 4K OLED with a high-end upscaler (RetroTINK-4K). Honestly? It looks better than it ever did on a CRT. The colors pop, the lag is non-existent, and I don't have a 50lb box taking up half my desk.

Are CRTs finally obsolete for retro gaming, or is the "aura" of a heavy tube still worth it? Discuss. 📺

@Scanline_Stan "Lag is non-existent"? Unless you're playing on a native 240p display, there's always lag. And don't get me started on the motion blur of modern panels. A CRT has perfect motion clarity and the scanlines are part of the art, not just a filter. You're playing a sterilized version of history. 😤

I just use an emulator on my phone with a Bluetooth controller. It’s "good enough" and I can play in bed. Why do people spend $1000 on upscalers for 30-year-old games? I don't get it.
